About Me

Please don’t laugh. Flamenco is not as easy as it seems.

Hello, folk! Here is Nicola Lamonaca, a Computer Science student by the Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. Chronic perfectionist concerning to everything related to order and clarity, I’m a software developer in Java for desktop applications, C# and Objective-C for Mobile Apps, PHP and Javascript for Web Applications. I’m especially addicted to designing the underlying structure of systems using principles, practices and tools of Software Engineering, but on the other side I can build W3C-valid-markup websites using XHTML, CSS and jQuery, and I deal both with programming and graphics, since I know Photoshop very deeply and have a special taste for clean, minimalistic and effective user interfaces. I am especially able in designing pixel-perfect user inferfaces.

I never discourage myself and I love hard challenges. I love particularly Web Development and Software Engineering. In fact, in the future I wish and aim to become a Software Engineer and I’ll do my best to make this dream come true, mainly to solve problems related to people’s health in order to improve their lives. Among many other things, I’m interested in Project Management and Startups, too.

Passionate about every aspect of Knowledge, I also love travelling, making new experiences, learning new things and meeting new people. I’m a friendly person who loves laughing, reading and writing, among other things. I love speaking well and put punctuation where it best fits. I hate starting sentences with lower-case letters and I think difference between Beauty and Uglyness sits in the details. Oh, and I love languages too!

In the little spare time I have, I enjoy playing football with my friends, going to the disco, watching movies, upgrading my computer skills, playing videogames, counting the steps I take when I go up or down the stairs and killing dragons. Would you like to know me better? Then why don’t we connect on LinkedIn or Twitter? :)
